There are BARE ‘staple’ ingredients that I recommend you have in your fridge and pantry at all times (you will find these in the ‘staples’ section of the example weekly planners and shopping lists that we have provided you). These are ingredients like stocks, sauces, pasta, rice and canned goods. When you first start using the BARE Lean guide, I suggest you stock up on these. This may mean that your initial grocery bill may be a little bit higher. However, once you have set up your fridge and pantry, the weeks that follow will be much cheaper, as you are really only having to buy fresh fruit and vegetables, meats and a few other ingredients here and there.
The BARE Lean recipes don't use any ingredients that are difficult to find or are crazy expensive. We also avoid using ingredients that you'll only use once.
